Loïc Barancourt
Loïc Barancourt is a French-Australian entrepreneur, tech executive and board director (GAICD) with a passion for leveraging AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), and ClimateTech to drive carbon neutrality and enhance productivity across industries. He has extensive experience in governance, strategic oversight, and commercialisation, helping organizations translate emerging technologies into scalable, impactful solutions.
With over 15 years of experience scaling IoT businesses globally, Loïc has developed a deep expertise in the global IoT market and its commercialisation. As Chief Commercial Officer of UnaBiz, he played a pivotal role in the company’s global expansion, M&A strategy, and operational scale-up, enabling the connection of over 14 million IoT sensors worldwide. Previously, he co-founded and was CEO of Thinxtra, a pioneering IoT telco operating across Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong.
Loic also co-founded and was co-chair of the 0G Association, representing 0G Operators across nearly 70 countries, with a collective $300m investment in IoT network infrastructure.
Earlier in his career, Loïc has also held other strategic business development roles at NetComm Wireless (now Lantronix) and Sagemcom, where he spearheaded some of Australia’s first large-scale IoT initiatives in Utilities, Health, and Transport.
He holds a Master’s in Energy & Telecom Engineering from CentraleSupelec in Paris-Saclay, as well as a Master’s in Business & Management from ESCP Europe (Paris & London), completed in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin.
