About the role
$105K-$123K plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
Fixed Term – 2 years
Full-time (35 hours per week)
We seek a highly motivated individual with experience working at the nexus of research and industry to lead a research program, develop high-value relationships and drive commercial outcomes.
About the successful applicant
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant postgraduate qualifications, including a PhD, in the areas of chemistry, fluidics, microfluidics and/or chemical sensing.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research/scholarly activities independently or as a member of a team with a strong track record in publishing research in refereed journals as sole author or in collaboration.
Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in addressing new research problems, with experience in research recordkeeping, preparation of research papers and seminar delivery.
Demonstrated experience in industry engagement and translating research to the commercial sector, including technology transfer, commercialisation and intellectual property.
Highly motivated by the commercial imperatives of research.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with experience in managing and influencing collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders across sectors.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong team player with a demonstrated commitment to collaboration to achieve ambitious goals.
Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
