Joining forces at the NSW Sensing Industry Connect
Co-hosted by the NSW Smart Sensing Network (NSSN) and the Sydney Knowledge Hub, the first event in the NSW Sensing Industry Connect series took place on 5 March 2020.
“This new series of events is a chance for manufacturers, designers and deployers of smart sensors to come together to network and share collaborative opportunities,” said Mr Nicholas Haskins, COO at NSSN.
Committed to strengthening the competitiveness of NSW industry on a national and international level, the NSSN has created a space where companies can form valuable bonds.
The event was attended by industry innovators ranging from big players like Bosch Australia & New Zealand and Circuitwise Electronics Manufacturing to NSW-based SME's such as Rojone and Ocular Robotics.
“This is one way that the NSSN is supporting the NSW smart sensing ecosystem and positioning NSW as a global leader in the industry,” Mr Haskins said.
Professor Benjamin Eggleton, Co-Director at NSSN and Director at the University of Sydney Nano Institute opened the event.
“The purpose of tonight is very simply to connect with colleagues and industry and to build relationships,” said Professor Eggleton.
The NSSN has become a successful end-user focused enterprise that translates research into real-world problems through collaboration with government and industry, Professor Eggleton added.
The next event in the NSW Sensing Industry Connect takes place at Venture Café, Macquarie Park on Thursday 21 May 2020.
