The Sensor - April 2022

The NSSN welcomes a $2.2 billion program focused on commercialising universities' research as part of the 2022–23 Federal Budget. Research commercialisation is critical to Australia's economic growth. Despite 85% of Australian research being rated at or above world standard, when it comes to commercialisation outcomes, we underperform significantly. Central to the NSSN’s remit is the translation and commercialisation of world-class research in NSW universities.

This month, we're delighted to announce a $2.4 million air quality monitoring R&D program led by the NSSN in collaboration with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE), 16 councils, several small businesses and five leading universities. Read on to learn more.
