UTS will run a seminar to determine issues that make the take-up of autonomous vehicles (AV) in Australia in general, and Sydney specifically, too difficult at this time, and to possible explore solutions and their time frames. We are inviting government, NGO and industry participants and some of our academics will contribute as well.
It is a discovery exercise and the format is round table discussions around four topics:
Private and public transport solutions
Regulation and policy
Social equity
AI and data
The output will be a discussion report that will be shared, and we will identify areas for follow up. Ahead of the seminar we will provide one paragraph to get the discussion started, and we will not direct where it leads.
The seminar will run from 9:00 - 12:00 on 22 August at our Moore Park campus. We will invite around 40 attendees, discussion will be in groups of 6-7 with rotation.
