Smart places bring the physical and digital together, meaning citizens, businesses, partners and the public service workforce can embrace digital transformations in local streets and suburbs in our regional and metropolitan areas as well as our cities. The NSW Smart Places Strategy aligns with related initiatives from the Australian Government, local councils throughout NSW, and delivery partners in the private sector.
The NSW Government takes a place-based approach to development, infrastructure and services to realise the real value of smart places and interconnected systems. These will be critical to the success of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and Lighthouse Precincts under development at Tech Central, Westmead and Special Activation Precincts at Parkes, Wagga, Moree, Williamtown and the Snowy Mountains.
This webinar is the first event of the NSW EDA State Practitioner’s Network. Hosted by EDA with the NSW Government, it features speakers from the NSW Government’s Precincts and Smart Places teams, the Western City Parkland Authority, and a research specialist in urban data analytics.
