The NSSN Data Working Group is partnering with Klarrio to welcome our inaugural get-together with two consecutive sessions from 13:00 to 15:50 on 28 September 2020. This is a virtual event.
Grown through a series of data seminars in 2019 by Dr Zhitao Xiong across NSSN's member universities, the NSSN Data Working Group is a group of academics working in Data and Artificial Intelligence (Al) areas across the eight universities at NSW and the ACT.
By working closely with industry and government to make relevant contributions, the NSSN Data Working Group will regularly tackle challenges and exchange resources across academia, industry and government.
The event program:
Session one - 13:00 to 14:00:
The re-introduction of the NSSN Data Working Group and brainstorming on the priorities for future events.
Session two - 14:00 to 15:50:
Pitchfest sponsored by Klarrio around tackling the misinformation problem around events such as Black Summer bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic. The winner will receive $1000 and an opportunity to collaborate with Klarrio on a pilot study.
