The OPENAIR: Operational Network of Air Quality Impact Resources project team are having a workshop to share action plans and information on various aspects of sensor deployments, as well as on community engagement and institutional enablement.
The two-day workshop will be held face-to-face at the Parramatta campus of Western Sydney University.
There will also be an OPENAIR Launch networking function immediately after Day 1 of the workshop.
About the research
From November 2021 to June 2023, the NSW Smart Sensing Network along with the Institute for Sustainable Futures and the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney, The Australian National University, The University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, The University of New South Wales and Sitelines Media, and in collaboration with several Councils, are undertaking a project aiming to develop a best practice methodology that will help local governments use environmental sensors in support of evidence-based localised strategies and initiatives. This research project is funded by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.
