The annual World Smart City Congress and Expo will be held in 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. 

This is the premier event relating to all aspects of smart cities, including the use of smart sensing to improve urban outcomes. 

Winners of the World Smart City Awards will be announced at the congress.  NSSN’s own OPENAIR project has been nominated in the Energy and Environment category.  

The NSSN’s Smart Cities Theme Lead, Peter Runcie, will be present at the event.
