Healthy At Home: The Future of Digital Innovation to support ageing in place

  • Central Coast Research Institute for Integrated Care Gosford (map)

The Health and Wellbeing Living Lab is a proven ‘open innovation’ methodology that places community end-users at the centre of identifying needs, generating ideas and creating solutions for ageing in place. Key themes include: community connectivity to prevent social isolation and foster digital inclusion; the tech-enabled home, supporting older people to live independently and safely; and preventative tech that supports care in the home environment and reduces the need for hospitalisation or long-term residential care.

This event marks an exciting opportunity to learn about the latest research and innovation, including best practices in the field of ageing in place, with plenty of opportunities to network with peers, experts and innovators.

Developed in partnership with the Australian Research Council (ARC) Research Hub for Connected Sensors for Health and the Central Coast Research Institute for Integrated Care (CCRI), this event is the sixth meeting of the New South Wales Smart Sensing Network (NSSN) Ageing Taskforce and marks the first inaugural meeting and soft launch of the Healthy at Home program. The CCRI also hosts the Central Coast Health and Wellbeing Living Lab, a $1.5 million joint initiative of the Central Coast LHD and the University of Newcastle, funded by the Greater Cities Commission.

Event is by invitation only - contact Catherine Oates-Smith to learn more.
