Western Sydney Manufacturers: Building profits on the path to sustainability

  • Penrith Panthers 123 Mulgoa Road Penrith, NSW, 2750 Australia (map)

The Western Sydney Manufacturers Forum is a FREE event focussing on empowering Western Sydney’s industrial transformation to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, hosted by the NSW Smart Sensing Network and the NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub.

Anchored in the NSW Government's Net Zero Industry and Innovation Investment Plan 2022–2024 and aligned with the Commonwealth's Future Made in Australia priorities, the Forum will explore the current ecosystem and practical solutions for the manufacturing sector to achieve greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.

By strengthening the collaborative and well-connected manufacturing community, Western Sydney can continue to thrive and lead Australia in innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. The Western Sydney Manufacturers Forum aims to share knowledge, insights, opportunities and challenges to meet future demand ensuring industry growth and resilience.

Key topics include:

  • Energy Transition: Supporting the shift to renewable energy and improving energy efficiency in industrial operations to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.

  • Skills Development: Building a skilled workforce capable of leveraging advanced manufacturing technologies and implementing decarbonisation strategies.

  • Mandatory Reporting: Preparing industries for the Environmental Protection Authority’s mandatory reporting requirements starting in 2025, with insights into compliance strategies.

  • Data and Sensors: Utilising advanced sensors, IoT, and data analytics to monitor and optimise emissions reduction in real time.

Join us in April at Penrith Panthers to give your business a head start on working towards a cleaner, more prosperous economy in Western Sydney and beyond.
